Overview

The program is designed to keep pace with the rapid global developments across various fields, particularly in the legal domain. The program’s objectives and outcomes have been defined and structured in alignment with the National Qualifications Framework for 2024 (Level 8). Arabic is the official language of instruction for the program. The PhD in Law program consists of (54) credit hours, divided as follows:

  • Core compulsory courses: (18) credit hours
  • Specialized elective courses: 6 credit hours, based on the chosen track (Private Law or Public Law)
  • Dissertation: 30 credit hours

Graduation requirements

To obtain a Doctor of Philosophy in Law degree, a student must successfully complete 54 credit hours, with a cumulative GPA of no less than 3 out of 4.
