Al Hilal Student Club at Al Ain University promotes the Societal Institutions’ role in protecting the People of Determination
Within the activities of Al Hilal Student Club emanating from the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University, and in collaboration with the College of Law, a workshop was organized entitled; the role of Civil Societal Institutions in protecting the People of Determination, was presented by Mr. Majid Sultan Al Muhairi (Chairman - Emirates Autism Society), and under the supervision of Dr. Aliaa Zakaria (College of Law - Al Ain University). The workshop was attended by Prof. Ibtehal Aburezeq, Vice President of Development and Follow-up, and the Dean of Student Affairs. She welcomed the guests and attendees among students and the local community and thanked Al Hilal Student Club for its efforts in organizing this event, which belongs to an important segment of society.
Dr. Alia Zakaria, Head of the People of Determination Committee at the College of Law, spoke about the role of law and legislation approved by the UAE in protecting people of determination. Then His Excellency Al Muhairi gave a detailed presentation on the role of the Emirates Autism Society in caring for this important segment since the patient’s arrival to the society in terms of its diagnosis, how to deal with it and methods of treatment, and most importantly educating parents on how to deal with them.
A fruitful dialogue took place between students of determination at the university and the guests about their needs. The president of the Al Hilal Student Club, Student Fakhira Al Mansouri, emphasized the role of the Club in caring for people of determination and their endeavor to provide them with all support.
