Al Ain University applies the “Blended Learning System” for the academic year 2020-2021
Al Ain University adopted the application of the "Blended" education system during the first semester of the new academic year 2020-2021, which started by August 30, 2020, through the distance learning for the theoretical courses and on-campus attendance for the labs, with adherence to the procedures related to health and safety (COVID-19).
Prof. Ghaleb Al-Refae, AAU President, affirmed the adoption of the application of "Blended" education system, which would enable students enrolled in colleges to receive their education according to the nature of programs and specializations. Noting that, the students ’opinions were listened to and evaluated, and all aspects were taken into consideration. He added, that Al Ain University is keen to carefully plan for the next academic year in line with the directives of the Ministry of Education in this regard.
Al Refae said; “Al Ain University was able and well-deserved to successfully implement the distance education experience during the last semester 2019-2020 due to the Corona pandemic, as the efforts exerted culminated obtaining a five-star rating in Online Learning according to the QS Stars global assessment. Therefore, we affirm our keenness to provide education to students and maintain the continuity of the educational process, regardless of the challenges and circumstances. Creating an ideal study environment for students is our top priority. "
