AAU President stressed on the importance of Entrepreneurship in graduate studies
On the occasion of the World Development Information Day coinciding on 24th October, the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Development and follow-up Unit, organized a seminar entitled: GRADUATE STUDIES ... “IS IT A DEGREE OR AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP”, presented by Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, and moderated by Prof. Ibtehal Aburezeq, Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Development and follow-up, along with the presence of faculty members and master’s students.
Prof. Abu Rezeq started the session by introducing the various international days that were created by the United Nations, which aims to; spread awareness among people about the important issues in society and works to address those issues, enhance achievements, or honor those involved. The International Day for Information Development has been launched since 1972 and aims to draw public opinion to the problems of development and to lay down plans for a better future.
Prof. Al Refae discussed the importance of setting goals for those who wish to start with graduate studies and how the student can obtain the required information and skills, also the role in developing them to keep pace with the current knowledge explosion.
AAU President recommended postgraduate students to define their goals, think in a strategic way, be smart to achieve their goals, choose the appropriate specialization smartly in proportion to the labor market, and develop themselves academically and professionally.
