The "From Problem to Opportunity" workshop showcases the TRIZ methodology as a strategic tool for entrepreneurs.

Al Ain University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a specialized workshop titled “From Problem to Opportunity: TRIZ as a Strategic Tool for Entrepreneurs.” The workshop, presented by prof.Nuha Hamada, Vice Dean of Student Affairs, was part of the June Innovation Workshops series organized by the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the TRIZ methodology as an effective strategic tool for transforming challenges and problems into innovative opportunities. This is achieved through a scientific approach to analyzing problems and identifying their root causes, leading to creative and sustainable solutions that contribute to the development and growth of entrepreneurial projects.

During the three-hour workshop, by prof.Nuha Hamada reviewed the fundamental concepts of the TRIZ methodology and its practical applications in various business environments, covering topics such as problem analysis, managing business contradictions, and transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and development. The workshop also highlighted several key principles of the methodology, such as segmentation, extraction, integration, comprehensiveness, and dynamism, supporting these with practical examples from diverse sectors including e-commerce, delivery services, cafes, and consulting.

The workshop witnessed significant interaction from participants as they discussed the challenges facing their current projects and explored innovative solutions that would improve operational processes, enhance service quality, and boost customer satisfaction while maintaining efficiency and profitability.

The workshop emphasized the importance of adopting systematic innovation in the business environment and contributed to developing participants' skills in problem analysis and formulating practical and sustainable solutions. It also provided a platform for exchanging experiences and ideas, which supports the success and sustainability of entrepreneurial projects.
