Rotary Light Tracer Competition to Enhance Students' Technical Skills

The College of Engineering at Al Ain University, in collaboration with TechMaze Company, organized the Rotary Light Tracer Workshop & Competition, supervised by Dr. Anas Al Tarabsheh and Eng. Huda Al Heeh. The competition aimed to inspire students by challenging them to design, program, and assemble an Arduino-based robotic car that rotates around a fixed artificial light source while maintaining an accurate radius.

The event, supervised by Eng. Taqwa Al Qudah, consisted of two main phases. The first phase included a two-day workshop titled Introduction to Arduino, where TechMaze engineers, Eng. Yaser and Eng. Ibrahim, provided participants with essential knowledge and hands-on training to prepare them for the competition.

In the second phase, the competition day, eight teams, each consisting of three students, competed to assemble, program, and test their robots. The event highlighted participants’ creativity, innovation, and coding skills, making the challenge both technical and exciting.

This competition not only enhanced students' technical and programming skills but also helped develop their teamwork and problem-solving abilities, making it a valuable educational experience for all participants.
