In the presence of the University President, Prof. Ghaleb A. ElRefae, the Vice President for Development and Follow-up, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Ibtehal Aburezeq, the University of Al Ain organized an Open Day event for the Special Education and Applied Psychology programs at its campus in Al Ain. The event was attended by 12th-grade students from seven local schools in Al Ain.
The goal of the Open Day was to introduce students to the importance of these two programs and their significant role in community service, as well as to showcase the academic and professional opportunities these fields can offer to students after graduation. The event also highlighted how students can be prepared to work in fields related to supporting individuals with special needs and understanding the psychological aspects of individuals.
The event was organized by students from both programs under the supervision of faculty members. It included a variety of activities, such as informative presentations that provided comprehensive information about the content of the programs, interactive workshops with faculty, and practical experiences that allowed students to engage directly with the academic content.
At the end of the event, attendees expressed their appreciation for the efforts put into organizing this event, which contributed to raising awareness among students about the importance of these programs in improving the quality of life in society.
