A Training Workshop Enhances Law Students’ Skills in Preparing Criminal Pleadings
As part of the cooperation between Al Ain University – Al Ain Campus, represented by the College of Law, and Abdullah Al Kaabi Law Firm and Legal Consultancy, the College organized a training lecture titled “Preparing Pleadings in Criminal Cases”, delivered by legal consultant Dr. Abdullah Al Kaabi. The session aimed to enhance law students’ practical skills and link theoretical knowledge with real legal applications.
The lecture targeted students enrolled in the Practical Training course, attended by Prof. Ibrahim Al-Qatawneh, the course instructor, along with several faculty and administrative members. Dr. Al Kaabi discussed the fundamentals and techniques of criminal pleading, the importance of preparation before court sessions, methods of persuasion in court, and key elements of drafting legal memoranda.
The session also included practical exercises on preparing legal defenses and delivering opening oral pleadings, in an interactive environment that reflected the students’ eagerness to develop their legal skills.
At the end of the event, the College of Law expressed its appreciation to Dr. Abdullah Al Kaabi for his valuable contribution to this training initiative, which plays an important role in preparing students for professional legal practice.
