Innovation Day: Uniting Minds to Drive Sustainable Solutions
In collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, the College of Business at AAU (AD Campus) organized “Innovation Day” under the supervision of Dr. Wejdan Farhan and the faculty members of the innovation courses. AAU Vice President Prof. Amer Qasim attended the event and began with a welcoming speech from the Deputy Dean of the College of Business, Dr. Iffat Sabir. Following the opening, attendees toured an exhibition showcasing student projects in an interactive format. Each student group presented an innovative project that combined creativity with practical application, featuring physical prototypes aimed at sustainable solutions. The exhibition sought to promote creativity-based learning by highlighting AAU students’ creative solutions and demonstrating their potential to tackle real-world sustainability challenges.
The event also included a seminar led by a guest speaker from Sandooq Al Watan, who provided students with valuable insights into sustainable innovation. The seminar covered current trends, challenges, and the impact of innovative practices on sustainable development.
Through the exhibition and seminar, participants gained a deeper understanding of sustainable innovation, equipping them with actionable knowledge to apply in their fields and benefit their communities.
