A lecture presented by the President of the Federal Supreme Court at AAU

 

In collaboration with the Union Supreme Court, the College of Law at Al Ain University –Abu Dhabi Campus- organized a lecture about "Judicial Censorship on the Constitutionality of Laws", delivered by His Excellency Judge Dr. Abdul Wahab Abdool -President of the Federal Supreme Court, With the participation of: Prof. Abdulhafeed Belarabi –AAU Vice President, and Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Hakam -Deputy Dean of the College of Law in Abu Dhabi Campus and in the presence of a number of professors and students of the college.

The lecture focused on the role of the Union Supreme Court in the Judicial Censorship on the Constitutionality of Laws, where His Excellency Judge Dr. Abdool talked about the role of the Union Supreme Court in general, its role in the federal legislation and the local legislation, and to ensure their suitability to the provisions of the UAE Constitution.

 At the end of the lecture, Prof. Belarabi honored His Excellency Judge Dr. Abdool by presenting him the University Shield and provided special thanks for his presence and his efforts.

 This lecture comes in the framework of the university's interest to strengthen relations and enhance the cooperation aspects between the Al Ain University and the Union Supreme Court as reflected positively in the interests of the two institutions and the students’ interests.

It is worth to mention that the Union Supreme Court provided its continued support to the College of Law students by giving them the opportunity to make the practical training at the Federal Supreme Court under the supervision of the most important and the most skilled judges and legislators.
